Investigation Launched into Patiler Association: Buket Özgünlü Arrested
An investigation has been initiated by the Ankara Public Prosecutor’s Office, Department of Smuggling and Organized Crime, into the Yaşama Tutunan Patiler Association. It has been revealed that 18 suspects, including members of the association’s management and related individuals, have been unlawfully acquiring funds under the guise of the association, leading to unjust gains for themselves.
According to the evidence gathered and the expert witness report obtained from the Court of Accounts, it has been determined that 9 suspects, including Association President Buket Özgünlü, have caused approximately 20 million Turkish liras in damages. While arrest warrants have been issued for 9 of the suspects, the legal status of the other 9 individuals will be evaluated after their statements are taken.
