She saw an ad by a real estate company with a photo of her land and a notice of sale, which got her all curious. When she checked the title deeds, she found out that on March 28, 2025, the land was transferred to someone else for 600,000 euros, with a declared value of 15 million Turkish Liras. Demirkıran, who arrived in Alanya from Turkey on April 17th via the Ipsala Customs Gate, tried to get information about her land. Claiming that the sale was made with a fake passport and ID belonging to another person, she filed a lawsuit to cancel the sale and re-register the property in her name.

Demirkıran mentioned that the land was purchased by her husband in 1987, and over time, with changes in zoning regulations, the size decreased from 1292 to 1027 square meters, and finally to 958 square meters. She emphasized that she did not share her identity information with third parties. She said, “I didn’t give out my Turkish ID or passport. I don’t know how this information was obtained and used. My land was sold without my knowledge. I returned to Germany on June 21, 2024, and came to Turkey on April 17, 2025. My husband and I worked hard to buy the land years ago, working at a factory in Germany with high temperatures. Transactions were made with fake documents, and my land changed hands. I am filing a complaint against all those responsible for the incident.”

Demirkıran’s lawyer Haydar Uyar stated that the documents used in the sales process were fake. He said, “Our client learned about the situation by noticing a real estate agent’s sale ad. Then, she came to Turkey to investigate the issue. The passport used in the title deed process contains a photo of a woman who appears to be of foreign nationality. At first glance, the documents seem fake. Our client did not approve the sale, nor did she share her identity information. As of today, we have filed a lawsuit for the cancellation and re-registration of the title deed. If this situation had not been noticed for a long time, the fraudulent registration could have become irreversible due to the statute of limitations.”

After Demirkıran’s application, an investigation was launched by the Alanya Public Prosecutor’s Office. The documents in the title deeds were submitted to the prosecutor’s office, and all information and documents related to the sales process were examined. It was reported that the real estate company that mediated the initial sale of the property had re-listed the same land for sale, and the relevant ads were removed from publication upon the start of the legal process.
