So, like, 3 years ago, Vali Gökmen Çiçek was all like, “Yo, I’m gonna focus on this place called Soğanlı Vadisi in Kayseri,” and now, that place is like, super popular with tourists and stuff. This valley has about 150 houses and around 400 people living there, but now it’s like, a tourist hotspot. Tourists can even check out the cultural heritage from up in the sky while riding in hot air balloons. Vali Gökmen Çiçek was all proud and stuff, saying how they kept their promise from 3 years ago and Soğanlı Vadisi has totally transformed. He was like, “Soğanlı is a whole different world, man. It’s like the entrance gate to Cappadocia. With its mysterious Saint George and ancient chapels and settlements, it’s a pretty epic area. It used to be, like, totally unknown, but now it’s all cool and stuff. We said we’d revamp Soğanlı with squares, streets, pathways, and chapel restorations, and we totally did it. Our government and municipality worked super hard, and now Soğanlı is, like, mind-blowing. As soon as you step in, those mysterious buildings start talking to you, man. With all the promotion and stuff, it’s getting more popular. Like, that TV series on TRT brought in a ton of visitors. People are flocking to see the houses and streets from the show, you know?”
“Soğanlı is gonna be part of the Cappadocia Area Presidency soon,” said Vali Çiçek, mentioning how the Culture and Tourism Minister checked out Soğanlı and was, like, “Whoa, this place is rad! Let’s include it in Cappadocia and invest in it.” The Culture Ministry peeps are, like, making plans for the area now. Vali Gökmen Çiçek also mentioned how in 2024, 270,000 tourists visited Soğanlı Vadisi, and 35,000 peeps took hot air balloon rides. He was all like, “Dude, Soğanlı Vadisi is small in population, but, like, it’s a major tourist spot. In just 2024, 270K peeps visited, and 35K did the balloon thing. It brought so much life to the area. If this keeps up and we keep making cool investments, we’re totally heading towards that ‘next level’ we dreamed of. It’s awesome, man. Shoutout to the aunties making the Historical Soğanlı Dolls and the women’s cooperative for their promo efforts. We also did some cool stuff in the Erdemli Region with walking paths and social facilities, bringing in more buzz. Soğanlı and Erdemli Valleys are getting us hyped, and we see a bright future ahead.”
Soğanlı Vadisi is, like, the place to be now, with all these tourists and cool projects happening. The government and locals are, like, totally making it happen, and it’s becoming a must-visit spot.
