Turkish Speaking Countries Medical Association (TKCMA), established to strengthen cooperation in the field of health in Turkish-speaking countries, is getting ready for its first major event. The I. International Turkish-Speaking Countries Medical Congress (TURKMED2025), to be held in North Cyprus Turkish Republic – Bafra between October 16-19, 2025, aims to open a new era in regional and global health collaborations.
The congress, which will be held under the theme “The Future is Very Close”, will not only create an important platform in terms of scientific developments in the field of medicine but also in terms of health policies and sectoral collaborations. In line with TKCMA’s motto “Language is the home of existence,” this grand event initiated to make the common language of the Turkish world effective in medicine carries a cultural and strategic vision as well.
The honorary presidency of the congress is undertaken by the Minister of Health of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Mr. Hakan Dincyurek. TURKMED2025 will bring together not only academics but also health authorities at the state level. Health Ministers of Turkish States, Prof. Dr. Kemalettin Aydın, Rector of Health Sciences University, university rectors from Turkish Republics, and representatives of leading universities and institutions in Turkey will be present at the congress.
TO BE ORGANIZED IN 3 MAIN HALLS
TURKMED2025 will be organized in 3 main halls in a multidisciplinary structure:
First Hall: It will focus on topics such as artificial intelligence, digital health technologies, innovation, and telemedicine within the scope of the theme “The Future is Very Close.”
Second Hall: Up-to-date scientific information will be shared by expert academics in internal and surgical branches.
Third Hall: It will host special symposiums titled “Turkish Microbiota & Nutrition 2025” and “Organ Donation and Transplantation” in collaboration with the Turkey Organ Transplant Foundation.
AIMING FOR HEALTH COLLABORATION
The congress will not only provide participants with scientific knowledge but also pave the way for the development of long-term collaboration models.
TURKMED Sustainability Program: Individual participants and industry sponsors will be encouraged to actively participate in long-term projects. The participation of participants who reach a certain performance level in future activities will be supported by TKCMA.
Roundtable Meetings: In these meetings, which will be held with limited participation, health systems and investment opportunities from Turkish States will be directly conveyed to sector representatives.
With this structure, TURKMED2025 aims to go beyond a scientific meeting and establish a permanent basis for inter-country health collaboration.
“LET’S BUILD THE FUTURE TOGETHER”
In his statement, TKCMA Board President Prof. Dr. Serkan Emre Eroğlu emphasized that TURKMED2025 is not just a congress but a common civilization project. The statement included the following expressions: “This congress is the construction of a future seeking the scientific equivalent of a common language. Doctors, academics, and industry representatives from all corners of the Turkish world will build a common future in medicine by speaking the same language in the same halls. We invite you to be a part of this great meeting and share your knowledge and experience.”
