So, like, this huge aviation, space, and technology festival called TEKNOFEST KKTC is happening right now, and it’s like the biggest one in the world or something. The festival is being held at the old Ercan Airport in KKTC under the auspices of the KKTC Presidency, with the main coordination by the Turkey Technology Team Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, along with 132 other organizations.
TEKNOFEST KKTC includes 6 technology competitions with 13 sub-categories. More than 47,000 participants from 22 countries, including Turkey, applied to these competitions. A total of 268 finalist teams, consisting of 1083 participants, competed fiercely in the journey of producing and developing technology.
AT THE END OF THE DAY, THE WINNERS WERE AWARDED IN 4 MAIN CATEGORIES
At a ceremony attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and KKTC President Ersin Tatar, the teams that won first place in the Tourism Technologies Competition, Social Innovation Competition, TEKNOFEST Robolig Blue Homeland Competition, and TEKNOFEST KKTC Research Project Competition were presented with their awards. In the Tourism Technologies Competition, the E-Platoon team won in the high school level, while the Qızılqaya-BHOS team won in the university and above level. In the Social Innovation Competition, the Tim 3 team won at the elementary school level, the Maarif Scientist 25 team at the middle school level, the Wobbly Table team at the high school level, and the RD TEAM team at the university and above level secured the first place.
The TeknoHeads team won in the middle school level of the TEKNOFEST Robolig Blue Homeland Competition, while the RoboSumer team won in the high school level. The Heavy Metal team was deemed worthy of the first place in the agriculture category of the TEKNOFEST KKTC Research Project Competition, and the PAGIT Spectrum: DEEPNETS team won in the environment and energy category. The festival will end after the events tomorrow.
