The probe, which began with a report to the Presidential Communication Center (CİMER), has been ongoing for over a year. Minister Tunç continued, “The investigation has deepened. Technical surveillance and evidence collection have been conducted. As a result of approximately one year of research into criminal records, 47 people were detained on April 26, 2024. Among them, 4 were doctors and 18 were nurses, with a total of 22 people being arrested. Judicial control orders were issued for 25 people, including 11 doctors. The indictment was submitted to the Bakırköy Heavy Penal Court. No one can threaten our judiciary officials. Those who threaten our prosecutors are also under investigation. The court is currently evaluating the indictment. The state does not allow the death of infants.”
“PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN GAVE INSTRUCTIONS”
Yesterday, our President met with our Minister of Health and myself. He conveyed his determination to take whatever action is necessary if there is a situation causing the death of infants. In the coming days, we will collectively monitor the evaluation of the indictment. The public will also see those accused in connection with these allegations. Our hope is for this process to expedite,” he added.
