So, like, there was this thing where Turkey’s President Erdogan met with some kids at the Presidential Complex. Not quite sure when this happened, but it must have been recent. Erdogan was all like, “Super stoked to have these kids over” for National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, or whatever.
He talked about how Turkey became a strong and free state, thanks to all those folks who worked hard since the founding days. Erdogan mentioned the Great National Assembly opening during the hardest times of the Independence War and stuff. Pretty deep, I guess.
Then there’s this whole deal about Turkey aiming for some Century Goal or whatever. Erdogan was all like, “We won’t stop until we reach it.” So, I guess it’s a big deal for them or something. Erdogan mentioned that National Sovereignty and Children’s Day is important for both kids and national sovereignty.
Then there was this kid, Ipek Vera Yolcu, who sat in the President’s chair for some reason. She was all proud and stuff, representing the President and thanking him, like it was a big deal. She talked about the future and took a moment to thank the ancestors and stuff.
After some speeches, this Yolcu girl answered some press questions. She wants to focus on education and make schoolyards more fun. Erdogan backed her up, saying no to concrete schoolyards. Yolcu also talked about supporting projects like TEKNOFEST for kids and stuff.
The kids sang songs, recited poems, and prayed. Erdogan gave them bikes or something. It was all cute and stuff. Like, a typical day with the President and kids, I guess.
