So, like, this really tragic thing happened at the Grand Kartal Hotel in the Kayak Center in Kartalkaya on the night of January 21st. A fire broke out, and unfortunately, 78 people lost their lives in this terrible incident. After the fire, a big investigation was launched, and they ended up arresting 41 suspects. Now, out of those 41, 28 were actually put in jail, while 9 of them were let go later on. As for the remaining 19, they are still behind bars.

It’s pretty messed up because apparently, when the fire started, instead of warning the guests in their rooms, the hotel staff decided to go save the owners’ cars in the underground parking lot. Security camera footage captured the moment when they were more concerned about saving vehicles rather than helping people. The experts who looked into the case prepared a 189-page report, blaming those who opened the parking gate for causing the fire to spread. They said something like, “Instead of trying to assist and help, the staff forcefully opened the main entrance gate of the parking lot to get their cars out. They didn’t just crack the door open to escape themselves; they fully opened it to get their cars out. This allowed cold air from outside and more concentrated burning gases from inside to move into the fire area, ensuring a continuous oxygen supply.”

It’s just crazy to think that something like this could happen, you know? Like, why would they prioritize cars over people’s lives? Not really sure why this matters, but it’s just mind-boggling. The fact that some individuals were so careless and selfish is just beyond me.

The authorities are still looking into the matter, trying to figure out how such a tragic event could have been handled so poorly. The investigation is ongoing, and hopefully, they will be able to get to the bottom of what really went down that night. It’s just heartbreaking to think about all those lives lost due to negligence and selfishness.

In times like this, we really need to come together as a community and support one another. It’s important to prioritize human life above all else and to remember that material possessions can always be replaced, but a life lost is irreplaceable. Let’s hope that justice is served for the victims and their families, and that measures are put in place to prevent such a tragedy from ever happening again.

And that’s the latest update on the Grand Kartal Hotel fire incident. Stay tuned for more information as the investigation unfolds.
