The Power Struggle Over Organizational Funds within FETÖ

Following the death of the FETÖ leader in the United States, internal leadership disputes have begun to emerge within the organization. Even before the funeral of Fetullah Gülen, his inner circle, known as the A Team, started vying for control of the organization’s finances. The top management of the organization is in need of the funds collected for their comfortable lifestyles and to sustain their wealth in the countries where they reside. One figure within the organization whose wealth has come under scrutiny is Cevdet Türkyolu, also known as “Uzun Cevdet.” His impressive accumulation of assets has raised eyebrows within FETÖ.

The Wealth of “Uzun Cevdet”

Cevdet Türkyolu has garnered attention for his control over the organization’s financial resources. Prior to the passing of Fetullah Gülen, Türkyolu purchased a million-dollar home located at 260 Kennel Road Saylorsburg PA 18353 for approximately $840,000 on June 10, 2023. Between 2003 and 2013, he engaged in a total of 17 real estate transactions, and during the period of 2012-2014, he sold his shares in the NT company under the Kaynak Holding owned by individuals associated with the organization for over $4 million, causing a loss to Kaynak Holding. Additionally, Türkyolu pocketed millions of dollars from Kaynak Holding that were not officially recorded.

Manipulating Bank Asya

Cevdet Türkyolu did not hesitate to cause harm to the organization under the guise of “serving.” He played a significant role in the downfall of Bank Asya by taking advantage of rumors that the bank would be sold to Qataris, causing the share price to plummet to 75 kuruş. Türkyolu seized the opportunity by purchasing 1 million lots, both damaging the bank and increasing his own wealth. As a co-founder of the “Amish Farmers Market LLC” company in the United States, he also obtained a loan of $1 million from Bank Asya for the company. Known to have shifted his focus to stock market investments since 2013, Türkyolu attributes his wealth to his family’s land in Adapazarı, although it is reported that his properties in the U.S. exceed the value of his land in Adapazarı.

In conclusion, the internal conflict within FETÖ over the control and management of organizational funds has brought to light the questionable actions of individuals like Cevdet Türkyolu. As the power struggle intensifies, it raises concerns about the ethical practices and financial integrity of the organization’s leadership. The exploitation of resources and manipulation of financial institutions for personal gain not only tarnishes the reputation of FETÖ but also highlights the urgent need for transparency and accountability within the organization.
