It’s 19 May and the Meteorology General Directorate (MGM) has updated its weather forecasts for the Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. According to the latest announcements, temperatures across the country will largely remain around seasonal norms. However, in some regions, the typical May showers will continue to make an appearance. The predictions for Monday, 19 May, indicate that the following cities will experience rainy weather: Ordu, Giresun, Trabzon, Bayburt, Gümüşhane, Rize, Ardahan, Artvin, Kars, Ağrı, Erzincan, and Erzurum.
Weather Outlook for Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir
In Istanbul, it will be partly cloudy with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 22°C. Ankara will also experience partly cloudy weather with temperatures between 9°C and 24°C. Izmir, on the other hand, will have slightly cloudy skies with temperatures varying from 15°C to 26°C. Not really sure why this matters, but it seems like the weather is going to be quite unpredictable in these cities. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like checking the weather forecast every morning is becoming a habit now.
Possible Rainfall in Various Regions
The regions mentioned earlier are expected to receive rainfall on 19 May, adding a refreshing touch to the celebrations of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. While some may find rain annoying, others might see it as a blessing from above. Who knows, maybe the rain will bring people together and create a sense of unity among them. Let’s hope for clear skies and sunny days after the rain passes, bringing joy and positivity to everyone’s lives. After all, a little rain never hurt anyone, right?
